This policy explains what we collect when you browse the site, send a wholesale enquiry, request a catalog or sample, or otherwise deal with us as a business buyer. It is written for B2B use (importers, distributors, tack shops, brands and marketplace sellers).

 

1. Who we are

 

Cornovo Saddlery supplies wholesale and private-label equestrian products, mainly saddle pads and related tack, for international buyers. If you have a privacy question, email sales@cornovosaddlery.com with the subject line “Privacy”.

 

2. What we collect

 

Enquiries and RFQs. When you use a contact, quote, catalog or sample form (or email / WhatsApp us), we typically receive: company name, your name, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, country or destination port, product references, quantities, materials/branding notes, and any files you attach.

 

Site technical data. Our host and WordPress stack may log IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrer, and approximate time of visit. This is ordinary server and security logging.

 

Cookies and similar tech. We use cookies that WordPress needs to run (for example a cookie that checks whether your browser accepts cookies on the login screen). If you leave a comment and opt in to remember your details, WordPress may store name, email and site URL in cookies for about a year. Analytics or chat widgets, if enabled on a page, may set their own cookies; those tools process data under their own policies.

 

Embedded content. Some pages may embed video or other content hosted elsewhere (for example YouTube). That third party may collect data as if you visited their site directly.

 

We do not knowingly collect children’s data. This site is aimed at trade buyers.

 

3. Why we use the data

• Send catalogs or specifications you asked for
• Keep a record of what was quoted so repeat orders match the approved sample
• Secure the site, reduce spam and investigate abuse
• Meet accounting, export and legal duties where they apply

 

Legal bases we rely on (where GDPR/UK GDPR style rules apply): steps needed before a contract, our legitimate interest in running a B2B sales site and protecting it, and consent where a non-essential cookie or optional marketing message requires it. You can withdraw consent the same way you gave it.

 

4. How long we keep it

 

Enquiry and order correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to support the commercial relationship and any warranty, claim or audit trail — typically several years for export B2B files, then deleted or anonymised where practical. Spam and incomplete form noise may be dropped sooner. Server logs are rotated on the host’s normal schedule. Comment content, if you leave any, may stay until you ask us to remove it or we close comments.

 

5. Who we share it with

 

We do not sell your contact list. We share data only when needed to run the business, for example:

 

• Hosting and email providers that process mail and site traffic for us
• Freight forwarders, inspection companies or payment channels when an order requires it
• Professional advisers (accountant, lawyer) under confidentiality
• Authorities when the law requires disclosure

 

Processors are expected to use the data only on our instructions.

 

6. International transfers

 

We are based in China and sell worldwide. If you write to us from the EU, UK, US, Australia or elsewhere, your enquiry data will be processed in China and may pass through the systems of our email/hosting providers. 7. Your choices and rights

 

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, and to complain to a local regulator. For a B2B enquiry file, email sales@cornovosaddlery.com; we will need enough detail to find your record and may ask you to confirm you control that email address.

 

You can stop non-essential cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may break parts of WordPress admin or forms.

 

8. Security

 

We use HTTPS on the public site and limit staff access to enquiry mailboxes. No online transmission is perfectly secure; for highly sensitive artwork or contracts, agree a channel with your sales contact first.
